Welcome to THATS IT BBQ, where we’re bringing the heart and soul of Southern California BBQ straight to you, one sandwich at a time. I’m Mike Navarrete, owner and BBQ enthusiast, and I wanted to create a place where the taste of perfect weather, family, and great food come together in a single bite.
Growing up in Oxnard, California, I learned early on that BBQ isn’t just about cooking meat — it’s about family, tradition, and community. Santa Maria-style BBQ was a staple of my childhood, where tri-tip and mesquite wood smoked over an open flame was more than just a meal; it was an experience. It’s those very flavors — the smokiness of mesquite and the simplicity of salt and pepper — that I’ve poured into every sandwich we serve.
